This photo is a view down the first floor hallway of Wyche House. Since it was taken late in the spring semester of 1986, it is probably one of the last pictures of the inside of Wyche before it was "decommissioned." The circumstances of the photograph itself are somewhat interesting, at least to me.
I was on my way to the darkroom to develop a roll of film and I had one exposure left, so I took this shot. It was literally a throwaway exposure, but as it turned out the reflection of the lights from the overhead fixtures and the fire door at the far end of the hall made for an interesting pattern.
By the way, this picture has no relation whatsoever to Michael's story, except that he lived on First Wyche and the time period matches that of the story. But this is the only print I have dug up from my NCSSM collection, so I couldn't resist putting it up.
